Traditional hand painted Imari bowl from the late 19th century. The bowl has a shallow foot and scalloped rim. Unusual radiating fluting to centre of the bowl. Good detail to decoration. This bowl is typical of the Imari porcelain ware that was made for export during the Meiji period. It is unmarked with an unglazed foot. Ground has a blue tint and is in typical Imari colours and design. The bowl measures 17 cm in diameter and 7 cm in height.
