Antique turned and carved bone chess set in the classic staunton design popular from the mid 19th century. The chess set is housed in a 19th century rosewood and brass 'campaign' box lined in green baize. Natural (white) and stained (red) bone pieces. This is a complete set with no replacement pieces. King measures 7 cm, pawn measure 3.5 cm. Box measures 18 x 14 x 6.5 cm.
