Brass Four Glass French mantle clock c1870. The clock is in an elegant rectangular brass case with bevelled glass panels. Unusual burgundy-coloured roman numerals with minute ring marked in black Arabic numerals and shaped blued steel hands on a white enamelled dial. Winding holes with brass collets. An 8-day duration movement striking the hours and half-hours on a coiled gong. Mercury compensated pendulum with Brocot suspension. Supplied with brass winding key. The clock is 26 cm in height. Base measures 15 cm width and 11.5 cm depth. Excellent time-keeper. Watch a video of it striking (above).

Fully cleaned and serviced but retaining its antique brass patina. The clock's movement is covered by our 12 month warranty in the UK.
