Classically elegant French brass corniche cased carriage clock c1895. Bevelled glass panels and rectangular bevelled top window displaying its original, jewelled cylinder platform escapement. Roman numerals on a white enamelled face with blued steel hands and subsidiary alarm dial with Arabic numerals. An 8-day duration timepiece mechanism with bell alarm. Supplied with double-ended brass key. The clock measures 11cm height excluding handle (14.5cm to top of handle), 8cm width and 6.5cm depth. A lovely example.
Fully cleaned and serviced but retaining its antique brass patina. The clock's movement is covered by a 6-month warranty in the UK.
