A miniature, silver mounted tortoiseshell boudoir carriage clock by Asprey 1909. The clock has a white enamelled dial with black Arabic numerals and blued steel hands. Silver bezel enclosing a domed glass. Chocolate-brown tortoiseshell case with silver hallmarked handle and hinge - raised on four silver bun feet. French 5-day timepiece with original lever platform escapement. The backplate holds an integral, folding winding handle and a knurled thumbscrew for adjusting the hands. Retailed by and signed Asprey on the dial. Hallmarked for London Assay Office 1909. The clock measures 9cm without handle (11.5cm to top of handle) and 6cm in width. Excellent time keeper. A little gem!

This clock is in overall stunning condition - it's only imperfection in its case being a barely visible hairline mark on its front-left corner (attempted to capture this in the last images but barely able to). This is from a professional restoration of a surface crack. The dial is in perfect condition as is its silver mounts. Please see images as these form an important part of the description.
