Solid silver photo frame by Henry Matthews, 1924. The frame has a rectangular window within a beautifully shaped outer edge with arched top. Quarter-cut oak back with hinged easel stand. Retaining corner tabs and swivel clips firmly holding its back-board. Clear hallmarks for the Birmingham Assay Office 1924 and maker Henry Matthews. External (maximum) dimensions are 19 cm height and 13.5 cm in width. The aperture measures 14 cm x 9.5cm.

  • The frame is in overall very good condition commensurate with age. The oak backing is complete, hinged support is solid and retaining clips firmly locate the back-board. The silver frame shows some very minor signs of age however these do not detract from its beauty when on display. Please see images as these form an important part of the description.
