Large, high quality silver photo frame with engine-turned detail on frame, made 1919. The back of the frame has a retaining pocket and two silver swivel catches to secure its backboard. Oak backboard with hinged easel stand. Original watered-silk backing (foxed from age). Base has small silver pockets with retained rubber feet. Unobtrusive monogram on top edge (BP). Clear hallmarks for London Assay Office 1919 and WB (for maker William Base). External dimensions 31 x 24.5cm. Aperture measures 28 x 21.3cm.
