Hand-crafted contemporary case of satinwood veneer on mahogany body, with rosewood cross-band detail and inlaid box and ebony lines. Solid satinwood bracket feet and mouldings. Late 19th century eight-day French movement. Strikes on the hour and half-hour. Original white enamelled dial with blued steel hands, bevelled glass cover and brass bezel.
