An uncommonly proportioned antique silver boudoir carriage clock by W&G Neal of London, 1906. The clock has a white enamelled dial with black roman numerals and minute ring. The rectangular silver case has a shaped silver handle and is raised on four bun feet. Hinged hallmarked rear door. French 8-day timepiece movement with original lever platform escapement. The backplate holds an integral, folding winding handle and a knurled thumbscrew for adjusting the hands. Hallmarked for London Assay Office 1906 and for silversmiths W&G Neal. Hallmarked in three places. The clock measures 12 cm to top of handle (9.5 cm excluding its handle), 6.5 cm in width and 5 cm in depth - making it a 'small' sized carriage clock however significantly larger than the more commonly seen 'miniature' silver boudoir clocks. A very nice example.
Fully cleaned. The clock's movement is covered by our 12 month warranty in the UK.
