Last year one of the popular items were boxed sets of technical drawing instruments. We had a few 19th century Victorian rosewood sets and early 20th century mahogany sets going in the months running up to Christmas - but were unable to source any new to stock despite looking hard. Well here they are - like buses - you see none for ages then (at least) three arrive at once. We've been able to source a number of boxed sets thankfully somewhat different in age as well as in what they contain.
Particularly pleased to come across a complete set by Elliott Bros as well as by other well known makers of instruments - about seven in total! Soon to be listed as welcomed additions to our available stock. When handling items such as this I can't help but feel the passage of time and think of the hands that may have held and used them - imagining what new industries or developments they may have worked in. Antiques with a story to tell!
