A pretty antique solid silver photo frame made in 1903. Rectangular aperture set in a repousse-worked silver frame with blank cartouche. Original silk backing. The frame's back-board and easel style support are covered in royal blue velvet. Support is hinged to a removable hard-backed insert, which in-turn is hinged to the back-board. Insert is located by a brass swivel catch. Clear Birmingham hallmarks for 1903 and maker's mark WB (for William Base). External frame dimensions are 20cm in height and 17cm width. Aperture size is 13cm x 9cm.
