Attractively shaped, tall Art Nouveau Royal Doulton stoneware tear-drop vase by Rosina Brown c1905. Elongated tear-drop body with everted rim. Tube-lined band of Art Nouveau stylised floral and foliate design around the body over a pale olive-green ground with applied motifs. Impressed Doulton Lambeth mark and monogram (RB) for Rosina Brown. The vase is 33.5 cm in height.

 

Rosina Brown (RB) joined Doulton in 1875 initially as Senior Assistant working alongside other artists such as Frank Butler, Eliza Simmance and Hannah Barlow.
