Traditional boxed set of technical drawing instruments by W H Harling of London c1900. Leather covered case. Blue silk inside to lid with internal flap - stamped inside lid with maker's name. Blue velvet to tray securing this complete set of instruments. Celluloid pen handles stamped WH Harling. Case measures 18.5 x 10.5 x 2.5 cm. 

 

Harling founded the firm in 1851 at 47 Finsbury Pavement, London. The firm specialised in making technical drawing instruments, with a factory at Grosvenor Works, Hackney, London EC. They ceased making instruments to the traditional pattern in 1929 and changed to flat pattern ones.
