Classically elegant French brass corniche cased carriage clock c1910. Bevelled glass panels in a rectangular frame with lovely antique brass patina. Rectangular top window displaying its original, jewelled cylinder platform escapement. Roman numerals on a white enamelled face. The clock is an 8-day duration timepiece mechanism. Backplate stamped 'Made in France' which came into common usage in 1891. Supplied with brass double-ended key. The clock measures 11 cm in height excluding handle (14.5 cm to top of handle), 8 cm width and 6 cm depth. Excellent time-keeper.
Fully cleaned and serviced but retaining its antique brass patina. The clock's movement is covered by a 6-month warranty in the UK.
