Attractively shaped large Art Nouveau silver mounted photograph frame, Birmingham 1916. Shaped frame with repousee rope detail to external and external edges and foliate detail to top of frame. Rectangular aperture. Solid oak back with hinged support. Retaining tabs to bottom corners together with swivel clips to secure its back-board. Hallmarked for the Birmingham Assay Office 1916 and makers mark for Charles Boyton & Sons Ltd. The frame's maximum external dimensions are 25 cm in height and 20 cm in width. Its aperture measures 19 cm x 14 cm.

  • The frame is in overall very good condition commensurate with age. The oak board and easel support are very good. Back-board is securely retained in position. The frame shows minor signs of age/use. The silver mount has been pierced (bottom right corner) when originally formed however this is not at all noticeable when displayed.
