Beautifully cast and finished, relief decorated Japanese bronze jardiniere c1890. Footed jardiniere with gently flaring everted rim. Relief decorated with herons at the waters edge with reeds other foliage. Gorgeous age patinated body with some internal verdigris. Signed to the base with Japanese characters. The jardiniere measures 17 cm in height and 23 cm at the rim.
