A fine set of six rosewood balloon back chairs c1850. Exquisitely carved balloon back, cross-rail and centre splat. Serpentine seat frame with show-wood beads supported on elegant French cabriole legs to the front and out-swept back legs. Newly and traditionally re-upholstered crown-top, over-stuffed seats - retaining its original hessian horse-hair rolls. Seat height is 46 cm and seat depth is 40 cm.
